Nagoya is such a wonderful city, filled with wonderful people. Mike and I were on our own to explore the streets and found some great places. We ran into a family owned restaurant with the entire family in the kitchen. They pretty eager to serve us and try to find out all about us and where we are from. Their English was pretty broken and Mike and i have only learned to say "yes" and "thank you" in Japanese so we did a lot of smiling and head nodding. The miso soup had clams in it, which took a little getting used to, but it was a fun experience. On a ministry note, it was great to meet up with the Mustard Seed guys again and hear about their vision and dreams for the future. They seem to have a great grasp of the culture here in Japan. I look forward to seeing their ministry in action over the next couple of days.
love,
matt
